5월 첫번째 말씀
그러므로 우상의 제물을 먹는 일에 대하여는 우리가 우상은 세상에 아무 것도 아니며 또한 하나님은 한 분밖에 없는 줄 아노라 비록 하늘에나 땅에나 신이라 불리는 자가 있어 많은 신과 많은 주가 있으나 그러나 우리에게는 한 하나님 곧 아버지가 계시니 만물이 그에게서 났고 우리도 그를 위하여 있고 또한 한 주 예수 그리스도께서 계시니 만물이 그로 말미암고 우리도 그로 말미암아 있느니라

So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one. For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many 'gods' and many 'lords'), yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

4월 다섯번째 말씀
우상의 제물에 대하여는 우리가 다 지식이 있는 줄을 아나 지식은 교만하게 하며 사랑은 덕을 세우나니 만일 누구든지 무엇을 아는 줄로 생각하면 아직도 마땅히 알 것을 알지 못하는 것이요 또 누구든지 하나님을 사랑하면 그 사람은 하나님도 알아 주시느니라

Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. But the man who loves God is known by God.

But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

너희가 자랑하는 것이 옳지 아니하도다 적은 누룩이 온 덩어리에 퍼지는 것을 알지 못하느냐 너희는 누룩 없는 자인데 새 덩어리가 되기 위하여 묵은 누룩을 내버리라 우리의 유월절 양 곧 그리스도께서 희생되셨느니라 이러므로 우리가 명절을 지키되 묵은 누룩으로도 말고 악하고 악의에 찬 누룩으로도 말고 누룩이 없이 오직 순전함과 진실함의 떡으로 하자

Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast works through the whole batch of dough? Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast-as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.
