노하기를 더디 하는 자는 크게 명철하여도 마음이 조급한 자는 어리석음을 나타내느니라 평온한 마음은 육신의 생명이나 시기는 뼈를 썩게 하느니라

9월 두번째 말씀
지혜로운 자의 재물은 그의 면류관이요 미련한 자의 소유는 다만 미련한 것이니라 진실한 증인은 사람의 생명을 구원하여도 거짓말을 뱉는 사람은 속이느니라 여호와를 경외하는 자에게는 견고한 의뢰가 있나니 그 자녀들에게 피난처가 있으리라 여호와를 경외하는 것은 생명의 샘이니 사망의 그물에서 벗어나게 하느니라

The wealth of the wise is their crown, but the folly of fools yields folly.
A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is deceitful. He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge. The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a man from the snares of death.

The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. He whose walk is upright fears the LORD, but he whose ways are devious despises him. A fool's talk brings a rod to his back, but the lips of the wise protect them. Where there are no oxen, the manger is empty, but from the strength of an ox comes an abundant harvest.

The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.
Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice. Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.

The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice. A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult. A truthful witness gives honest testimony, but a false witness tells lies. Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

훈계를 좋아하는 자는 지식을 좋아하거니와 징계를 싫어하는 자는 짐승과 같으니라 선인은 여호와께 은총을 받으려니와 악을 꾀하는 자는 정죄하심을 받으리라 사람이 악으로서 굳게 서지 못하거니와 의인의 뿌리는 움직이지 아니하느니라 어진 여인은 그 지아비의 면류관이나 욕을 끼치는 여인은 그 지아비의 뼈가 썩음 같게 하느니라

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. A good man obtains favor from the LORD, but the LORD condemns a crafty man. A man cannot be established through wickedness, but the righteous cannot be uprooted. A wife of noble character is her husband's crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.
